Chief Baker has been serving the Spearman Police Department since Feb. 2010 and has over 27 years of experience in Law Enforcement including 14 and a half years of service for the Houston Police Department and 4 years with Conroe Independent School District and 4 years with the Gray County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Baker holds a Master's Peace Officer's License which is received back in 2004.
During Chief Baker's time in Spearman he is currently the Chairman of the local Cub Scout Committee, he is Vice President of Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Spearman Lions Club.
Chief Baker is also member of the Texas Police Association and High Plains Police Chief's Association.
In 2011 Chief Baker began coaching little league and is currently the Assistant Coach for Slagado Spreaders.
